The Norway, Sweden and Kenya Business Forum was held on 24^th November 2022 at the Radisson Blu, Upper Hill Nairobi. The theme of the event was 'Pioneering Sustainability'. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria Désirée of Sweden, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon Magnus of Norway and the Kenyan Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon. Musalia W. Mudavadi officiated over the official opening ceremony of the forum. 

The two Royals were accompanied by Ms. Anne Beathe Tvinnereim, Norwegian Minister of International Development and Nordic Cooperation; Mr. Johan Forsell, Swedish Minister of International Development Cooperation Foreign Trade; Ms. Anne Marit Bjørnflaten, Norwegian State Secretary of Trade and Industry; and Ms. Wenche Westberg, State Secretary of Agriculture and Food.

The Norwegian Business Delegation was led by the CEO of Innovation Norway, Mr. Håkon Haugli and the Swedish Business Delegation was led by Ms. Nina Lindberg, VP of Europe Middle East and Africa, who was accompanied by a delegation of over 80 Swedish and Norwegian companies ready to scout for business-related deals in Kenya.

A high-level panel discussion was held during the opening session to explore trade-related opportunities between the three countries featuring the below panelists:

• - Ms. Anne Beathe Kristensen Tvinnereim, Norwegian Minister of International Development and Nordic Cooperation.
• - Mr. Johan Forsell, Swedish Minister for International Cooperation and Foreign Trade.
• - Ms. Anne Marit Bjørnflaten, State Secretary.
• - Mr. Ngetha Waithaka, Partner and Manager Kenya, Norrsken 22.
• - Mr. Sitoyo Lopokoiyit, Managing Director M-Pesa.
• - Ms. Helene Ruden, CEO Ruden Water.

Delegates later got a chance to take a deep dive to explore different thematic areas by attending several breakout sessions that run parallel to each other throughout the day.

The sessions were:

• - The Energy seminar – Sustainable solutions at affordable price by good cooperation,
• - Seminar On Food Security and Sustainable Agricultural Development, Sustainable public transport solutions and traffic safety – for a more accessible and safe future,
• - Digital and innovative Africa – ICT solutions and investment in the continent,
• - Roundtable meeting on renewable energy,
• - Building partnerships between the private sector, the UN, and international organizations in Kenya and Eastern Africa in support of the SDG agenda, Sustainable finance and investment.

Several partnerships were birthed from the B2B sessions which were held during the business forum.
