On Thursday, the 22nd of June 2023, the Education Sector Board convened a Planning Meeting to discuss the upcoming World Youth Skills Day, placing specific emphasis on the role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in equipping, enhancing, and reequipping the youth with necessary skills. The primary objective of the meeting was to plan a breakfast meeting, aimed at identifying effective strategies and initiatives for bolstering youth skills development and addressing the challenges prevalent in the education sector.
With KEPSA embarking on the implementation of its new strategy, which prioritizes global competitiveness, the education sector board endeavors to ensure the competitiveness of Kenya's labour force on the global stage. A key aspect of this effort involves advocating for the skilling, reskilling, and upskilling of the youth, effectively preparing them for the demands and dynamics of the future of work.
