The KEPSA Health Sector Board – Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) on 7th April 2022 held the first ever KHF CEOs’ Forum at the Serena Hotel. The cocktail event, which was hosted in partnership with KCB Group and Strathmore Business School aimed to provide a platform for the CEOs to network as well as provide an opportunity for feedback sharing on how the organization can attain its full potential.
KHF CEO Dr. Anastasia Nyalita presented on the new KHF Strategic Plan 2022-2026 that has been developed with support from KEPSA and defines the organization’s roadmap for the next five years. The plan sets out strategic programs that will enable the organization to build on its achievements and lessons learnt to effectively respond to the changing operational environment. This new plan was developed through a wide consultative process and is aligned with the vision and core values of KHF.
Representing the SDG Partnership Platform, Ms. Irene Karanja provided an overview of the platform that was co-created in 2017 as a high-level collaboration between the Government of Kenya and the United Nations System with a focus of accelerating the attainment of SDGs in Kenya by enhancing multi-stakeholder and cross-sectoral partnerships. This is through accelerator windows formed along the Big Four Agenda; Universal Healthcare, Affordable Housing, Food and Nutrition Security, and Manufacturing and Skills training.
Ms. Karanja highlighted projects that SDG PP has undertaken in partnership with government, private sector and other stakeholders such as an investment in adolescent girls programing, Registering the National Advisory Board (NAB) in Kenya to bring together key stakeholders from Kenya’s impact investing ecosystem, and Match-making, co-creating and curating through investment deal pipelines. She also highlighted the development of Public Private Partnership (PPP) Model manual which is being implemented in Makueni County in partnership with Amref and Phillips. Learnings from this implementation will be used to scale up PPP model in other counties.
