KEPSA is the private sector apex and umbrella body set up in 2003, to bring together business community in a single voice to engage and influence public policy for an enabling business environment. over 500,000 direct and indirect members..
KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki on 6th April 2022 visited Ms. Ciiru Waithaka of Fun Homes. This is part of the visits to KEPSA members and their members to get first-hand experiences of their businesses, appreciate them, and get to know the opportunities and challenges they face.
The visits used to happen quarterly but since the COVID-19 pandemic, this is the first visit. Fun Homes is one of the SMEs that KEPSA is proud of for the growth, ingenuity and value chains and support they give to other SMEs, especially to the very small ones who are innovative but struggle with market access and visibility. All businesses can create value chains, big and small despite their size.
This is a model of SMEs that KEPSA would like to see replicated in many other sectors. KEPSA also appreciates the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) for the work they continue to do in supporting SMEs in manufacturing and hope many other sectoral associations can do the same.
