KEPSA TO COLLABORATE WITH MERGING MUNDOS ON TRADE AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES

On 23rd February 2022, KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki met with Mr. Darren Gillen – European Business Association Chairman and also KEPSA Director in charge of Foreign Investments who was accompanied by Ms. Zaynah Khanbhai CEO Merging Mundos.
Ms. Khanbhai briefed Ms. Kariuki that the organization was founded by a Kenyan and an Argentine, and is a global enterprise and a model in South South and Triangular Cooperation resolving the challenges to commercial and cultural integration between Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The organizations pillars are to open and establish markets in multiple sectors, generate and accompany projects and provide access to reliable and accessible information, opportunities and partners. Their sectors of expertise and impact include Agribusiness, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Commercial Missions and Business Summits. On the not-for-profit side they seek to reduce crime and criminal recidivism in Africa through Rugby, Education and Reintegration into society for people in prison.
It was agreed that KEPSA and Merging Mundos would collaborate as follows:
- Enter into a MoU to jointly work together in the following projects as well as explore other areas of mutual collaboration
- To host a high-level business forum in June 2022. A virtual forum would serve as a precursor to the in-person business forum modelled towards improving the interactions during the in-person business forum slated to be held later in June 2022.
- To collaborate through the KEPSA foundation on the not-for-profit side they seek to reduce crime and criminal recidivism in Africa through Rugby, Education and Reintegration into society for people in prison. KEPSA through its foundation runs similar programs of which the two organizations will seek to leverage on each other’s strengths
- To jointly demystify the potential markets through partnerships as we introduce the regions of which their trading capabilities may not be well known amongst each other.
KEPSA will periodically share updates on this partnership with its members for them to fully participate when called upon.
