On 31st October 2022, KEPSA launched the Kenya Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program (K-YEEAP), an innovative youth employment solution that seeks to use market development approaches to create jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities for youth and women in the private sector in the next five years.
Through K-YEEAP, KEPSA shall identify new and under-served sectors with the potential to generate at least one million decent and sustainable jobs by 2027. The program aims to support the growth of 200,000 small businesses while catalyzing the development of 10,000 start-ups through small enterprise acceleration, market-oriented skills development and digital transformation.
The event, which was held at the Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel in Nairobi, was presided over by H.E Rigathi Gachagua – Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya.
