KEPSA CEO Ms. Kariuki and Mr. Walid Farghal, Director General of The Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) during High-Level Kenya – Gulf Corporation Council (GCC) Trade, Investment & Tourism Business Forum held on 15th February 2022 at Raffles Hotel Dubai, during the Kenya Week alongside the EXPO 2020 Dubai.
The MoU signing ceremony was witnessed by Hon. Betty C. Maina, EGH Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development, AMB. Johnson Weru, Principal Secretary State Department for Trade and Enterprise Development Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development, KEPSA Chair Ms. Flora Mutahi, Jaswinder (Jas) Bedi, Chairman – Kenya Export Promotion & Branding Agency and KAM Chairman Mr. Mucai Kunyiha.
AIM is an initiative of the UAE Ministry of Economy designed to provide a framework for global exchange on the key principles underpinning international investment policies, strategies and practices for sustainable development to achieve smart and inclusive global growth. Since its inception, AIM has established itself as a leading global investment platform that aspires to ignite positive transformation by creating investment opportunities, upholding solidarity and developing economic relations among nations, as well as addressing the global ordeals that will make a profound impact to economic growth.
The MOU will focus on enhancing KEPSA’s participation during Annual Investment Meeting, at high level as well as co-hosting the Africa edition of AIM in June 2023.
