KEPSA SECURITY SECTOR BOARD ENGAGES DATA PROTECTION COMMISSIONER

On 24th May 2022, KEPSA Security Sector Board Chair Ms. Annette Kimitei alongside Mr. Patrick Maingi – KEPSA PPD Specialists, Mr. Patrick Wandare – KEPSA Legal and Mr. Bryan Ndichu – Security Sector Coordinator engaged with Ms. Immaculate Kassait – Data Protection Commissioner.
Key on the agenda of the meeting, which was held at the Commisoner’s offices, was aimed at enhancing collaboration with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) to look at developing guidelines for the Private Security Sector to comply with the Data Protection Act, 2019.
It was agreed that a joint committee of three will be formed comprising of; Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA), KEPSA and Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) to develop the said guidelines.
