KEPSA, represented by Business Hub Manager Mr Timothy Odongo, participated in the Tunisian African Business Forum that was held on 6th and 7th December 2022 in Tunisia. On the invitation of the Tunisian government, Tunisia hosted African private sector associations, trade promotion organizations and other key players in trade facilitation for the purposes of boosting trade between Tunisia and Africa.
The two-day forum was officially opened on 6th December 2022 by Ms Fadhila Hamza, Tunisian Minister for Commerce and Development of Exports. The meeting also featured B2B sessions aimed to create one-on-one avenues for discussions between the Tunisian private sector as well the African Trade promotion organizations.
On day one of the forum, Mr Odongo also joined the leadership of various African trade promotion organizations for a meeting with Mr Mourad Ben Hassine, President Director General of Tunisia Export - CEPEX. The meeting was purposed to deepen working relations geared towards enhancing trade as well as engaging the support of participating organizations in this endeavour.
The Tunisia Export - CEPEX will send a business delegation in early 2023 to Kenya in follow up to the forum whereby KEPSA will offer its support to the organization and planning as well as engage the participation of its members for the success of the upcoming business forum in Nairobi.
KEPSA and the Tunisian Embassy in Kenya have worked closely in the past whereby KEPSA has successfully received and hosted two Tunisian Business delegations in Nairobi.
