KEPSA Foundation held a meeting with AMREF Health Africa on 1st August 2024 at KEPSA Offices. The meeting aimed at exploring potential areas of collaboration towards quality healthcare with a focus on private sector engagement and contribution to improving the health and outcome of pregnant mothers and newborn children. This is towards addressing the persisting double burden of maternal and neonatal mortality in health facilities.
The partnership would leverage the convening power of KEPSA under the Public-Private Dialogue platforms and borrow from the championing of Better Business Practices for Children (BBPC) that focuses on improving the Maternal Infant and Young Children through the private sector.
Discussions focused on the use of data analytics to enhance visibility on maternal and newborn issues and saving both mother and babies during birth and the need to co-create initiatives by leveraging the Foundation's value proposition through private sector membership to address the psychosocial, economic, social/cultural effects towards saving the lives of mother and newborn.
KEPSA Foundation was represented by Ms. Caroline Kawira, and Ms. Susan Ng’ang’a from the Management while AMREF was represented by Ms. Anne Kinoti, Family and Reproductive Health Manager, Strategic Partnerships Manager Ms. Rovinnah Maureen, and Programs Specialist Mr. Kennedy Wakoli.
