KEPSA Foundation and the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) held a meeting on 20th July, 2023, to deliberate on the progress of the current projects, pending activities and future programmes under KEPSA Foundation.
CIPE was represented by Mr. Ryan Musser, Program Officer for Africa at the Center for International Private Enterprise; Mr. Ben Kiragu, CIPE Country Director; and Ms. Sandra Muchiri, CIPE Kenya Finance and Operations, while KEPSA Foundation was represented by Ms. Gloria Ndekei, Executive Director, KEPSA Foundation; Mr. Patrick Wandare, CIPE Project Officer in charge of Governance; and Ms. Susan Ng’ang’a.
KEPSA Foundation gave the brief of the Bribery Act Project from November, 2022 to date and was requested by CIPE to share other Foundation programmes.
CIPE team appreciated the work the partnership with KEPSA Foundation is doing on the activities of the Bribery Act Project and Improving Info-Space Integrity in the Private Sector Project. Such activities include Sensitization and awareness creation of KEPSA Members on the Establishment of a Fact-Check Unit within KEPSA Foundation; development of educative videos on the sensitization of Bribery Act; and the designing of the booklet on the simplified and/or popular versions of the Bribery Act, 2016; Bribery Act, Regulations, 2022; and the Bribery Act, Guidelines, 2022.
CIPE demonstrated confidence in KEPSA Foundation in implementing recommendation of the survey on improving info-space integrity in the private sector. CIPE greed to fund the next Phase of the Programme and requesting KEPSA Foundation to come up with Grant agreement and attach the proposal thereto.
KEPSA Foundation and CIPE agreed to keep forging efficient partnerships to realize the objectives of the Programmes.
