KEPSA held discussions with GIZ, the main German development agency on 28th March 2023 at KEPSA offices. The meeting discussed potential areas of partnership between the two organisations.
KEPSA was led by the Deputy CEO Mr Victor Ogalo in the meeting. The GIZ team included Mr Moses Munuve from the Programme Business Scouts for Development accompanied by Ms Stefanie Simon a scout attached with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana). Also in attendance was Mr Brian Kalekye, from the East African Business Council (EABC).
During the meeting, Mr Ogalo introduced the delegation comprehensively to KEPSA while highlighting the key programs and projects being implemented including SME development through the Ajira digital Program and climate change through the SIB and CINB-K.
The KEPSA Deputy CEO highlighted a number of possible areas of partnerships including the creation of a one-stop business intelligence hub for trade and investment opportunities. Under Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Mr Ogalo also added that the two organisations could partner in increasing awareness and building business cases as low-hanging fruits.
The GIZ delegation reported having started a conversation with ASNET to organize information sessions, training, and coaching programs to enhance ESG compliance.
The organizations agreed to engage continually to ensure that these areas are tapped and the collaborations strengthened.
