On 3rd February 2022, KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki met with H.E. Andrii Pravednyk – Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Kenya and Mr. Serhii Bilohub – First Secretary (Commercial Issues) Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to UN–HABITAT.
The Ambassador and Ms. Kariuki discussed matters relating to growing trade and investment between Kenya and Ukraine. To this end, there was a commitment for KEPSA to sign an MoU with the Council of Exporters and Investors, a trade promotion body in Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for purposes of offering trade facilitation to KEPSA members who express interest in doing business with Ukraine.
The Embassy will also regularly introduce business opportunities to KEPSA members emanating from Ukrainian companies wishing to do business with Kenyan companies. KEPSA members will also have an opportunity to interact with Ukrainian companies in the Agri and food sector during an upcoming Expo to be held at the Sarit Convention Center from 23rd to 25th March 2022. The Expo will be followed by a virtual Ukrainian-Kenyan trade mission set to introduce companies from various sectors in both countries.
