KEPSA CEO MEETS EMBU COUNTY SENATOR ON PARTNERSHIP IN PROJECTS IMPLEMENTATION

KEPSA CEO Ms Carole Kariuki together with KEPSA Foundation Executive Director Ms Gloria Ndekei held a meeting with the Embu County Senator Hon. Alexander Mundigi on 6th December 2022 at the KEPSA offices. The meeting deliberated on ways to collaborate in the implementation of various projects.
The meeting agreed to develop a conceptual framework that will guide community social projects that involve young boys and girls, the elderly as well as sustainable drought response mechanisms to avert future famine crises.
Senator Mundigi shared the need for improving the smallholder irrigation projects to bring more land into profitable agriculture production. Embu County has low agricultural potential in the Mbeere region due to insufficient rainfall and overdependence on rain-fed agriculture.
In advancing the collaboration, the KEPSA Foundation shall follow up with social initiatives such as the distribution of sanitary packs while looking into the issues of the elderly under the Foundation’s community initiatives thematic areas.
