KEPSA CEO Ms Carole Kariuki met with Dr Djibril Diallo - African Renaissance and Diaspora Network (ARDN) President and CEO together with Ms Sharon Okubo - ARDN global champion, fashion designer and model. The aim of the meeting, which was held on 7th December 2022 at the KEPSA offices, was to discuss areas of partnership in the popularization and implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The meeting deliberated on various areas of partnership including youth mobilization and development agenda, improved quality of education, and strengthening of ties between the diaspora and Africa through the Sister Cities International Model.
Key of the areas of partnership discussed was the launch of the 'Red Card Campaign' towards ending all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls. The campaign that will be launched on 10th March 2023 will bring together a host of stakeholders including the Government, UN Bodies, the Private Sector and other stakeholders in the Sports, culture and fashion industries to raise awareness and call for action towards ending all forms of discrimination and violence against women and girls.
The partnership is in line with the role that KEPSA plays to advance Gender Equality and mainstreaming in the Private Sector which led to the Gender Award in June 2022 by 'Gender is My Agenda Campaign' (GIMAC), Ms Kariuki committed KEPSA's collaboration with ARDN in the campaign launch and roll out.
