On 3rd November 2022, the KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki hosted a delegation from the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations led by their Secretary General Mr. Shibeshi Bettermariam in the KEPSA offices earlier today.
Mr. Bettermariam and his team sought to understand how KEPSA engages in corporate governance and policy reforms.
During the meeting, the KEPSA CEO took them through the various KEPSA initiatives that have helped enhance corporate governance in Kenya's private sector, including the Business Code of Ethics which has helped business embrace transparency and eliminate corruption, as well as the training on corporate governance in partnership with the Global Compact.
Further, Ms. Kariuki shared KEPSA’s current approach to shaping policy, guided by the National Business Agenda which stipulates the priorities for the private sector.
On the other hand, Mr. Bettermariam expressed his gratitude to KEPSA for the leadership that the organization has shown across the region and the immense growth of the private sector in Kenya. He noted that they will partner with KEPSA to organize a business forum for Kenya and Ethiopia.
