KEPSA CEO HOSTS A DELEGATION FROM MERCY CORPS

On 29th September 2022, KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki held a meeting with Allison Huggins, Deputy regional director (Africa) at Mercy Corps to explore how the two organizations can work together to support youth employment and entrepreneurship.
In their meeting, the two organizations agreed to collaborate in the following three key areas;
- MSME development – The use of systems approaches in value chains as growth points for micro- and small entrepreneurs.
- Job Technology – The two organizations will further discuss how KEPSA can collaborate more deeply with Mercy corps, especially through the newly launched Jobtech Alliance program by KEPSA, which focuses on growing the digital work ecosystem in Africa.
- Workforce development – To expand the opportunities to skill incoming workforce and upskill / re-skill existing workforce.
Also present in the meeting was Enock Wafula , Jobtech Alliance lead, Gituku Ngene - Global Senior Advisor, Youth Employment and Innovation and Dr. Ehud Gachugu, Director - Ajira Digital and Youth Employment, KEPSA.
