KEPSA CEO HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETINGS WITH MOROCCO’S PRIVATE SECTOR BODIES

On 21st October 2022, KEPSA CEO Ms Carole Kariuki held strategic meetings with the Tangier Region Chamber of Commerce and Tangier region Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc chapter (CGEM), the KEPSA equivalent and partner in Tangier, Morocco.
The following were the outcomes of their meeting:
- - In November 2022, KEPSA and CGEM will host an investment forum in Nairobi for all sectors that have comparative advantages and access to both the ACFTA and European markets.
- - KEPSA, Tangier Region Chamber of Commerce, and CGEM will include in their MoU, the need for the organizations to market both Morroco and Kenya as investment destinations to their networks.
- - The three organizations will build a partnership for women in business, that will involve a Kenyan university learning from what Morroco has done in this area.
- - The three organizations will jointly establish an SME program similar to the U.S - Kenya SME Trade Initiative Program by KEPSA and the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA).
The Tangier region’s strategic location is one of the key factors that make Morocco attractive to investors, acting as the country’s gateway through the sea.
