KEPSA CEO ENGAGES INDIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER ON SPURRING TRADE AND INVESTMENTS BETWEEN KENYA AND INDIA

On 14th February 2023, KEPSA CEO Ms Carole Kariuki engaged H.E Namgya Khampa, High Commissioner of India to Kenya on collaborations geared towards spurring trade and investment between Kenya and India.
KEPSA and the Indian High Commission have a long-standing partnership in facilitating trade and investments opportunities. The following areas were the outcomes of the meeting;
- Development of a workable model of ‘Start-Up India’ in Kenya that will facilitate training opportunities for the private sector. Start-Up India is India's largest online entrepreneurship platform that allows startups to network, access free tools & resources and participate in programs & challenges.
- Building SME corridor between Kenyan and Indian SMEs that will lead to scaling up of SMEs in both countries
- Establishment of India chamber of commerce that will join KEPSA
- Partnership towards KEPSA business delegation on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in India
- Jointly organising a health-related conference in Kenya
- Adopting initiatives geared towards upscaling south-to-south tourism.
