The KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki participated in the Rotary District 9212 Conference that was held in Diani between 12th and 15th of May 2022. The conference, which was hosted under the theme ‘Leadership’, brought together over 700 delegates and aimed to reflect on Rotary’s purpose and value, while celebrating the social impact projects undertaken in the past year.
Rotary brings together a global network of volunteer leaders dedicated to tackling the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. It connects 1.2 million members in more than 35,000 clubs around the world. Rotary’s work improves lives at both the local and international levels, from helping families in need to working towards a polio-free world.
During the conference, Ms. Kariuki joined a panel of other captains of industry and thought makers on the critical subject of leadership, including Amb. Dennis Awori – Chairman & Country Delegate, CFAO Group of Companies in Kenya; Ms. Brenda Mbathi – President, General Electric, East Africa; Ms. Carolyne Kendi – Head of Brand Marketing, Safaricom PLC; Mr. Abel Mutua – Co-Owner, Phil It Productions Ltd & Storyteller Extraordinaire and Mr. Charles Mudiwa – CEO, Stanbic Bank Kenya.
Rotary is administered through Districts comprising about fifty Clubs. Rotary District 9212 is comprised of Rotary Clubs in Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea with over 3,500 Rotarians and 2,700 Rotaractors.
