23 MAY KEPSA CEO PARTICIPATES IN PRE-ELECTION ASSESSMENT MISSION

On May 17, 2022, KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki participated in the Pre-Election Assessment Mission (PEAM) conducted by the International Republican Institute (IRI) and National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Nairobi ahead of Kenya’s General Elections scheduled for August 9, 2022.
A delegation from the two organizations was conducting meetings with key stakeholders in Kenya from government, civil society, political parties, media, private sector and the electoral commission to better understand the current electoral environment, as part of the International Election Observation in Kenya (IEOK).
The delegation included Jean Mensa – Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana; James Lahai – National Coordinator, National Election Watch, Sierra Leone; Nicole Rowsell – Vice President, National Democratic Institute, USA and Yomi Jacobs – Resident Program Director, International Republican Institute, USA
The delegation committed to present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders ahead of the August 9, 2022 General Election.
