14 MAR KEPSA CEO MEETS JERSEY FINANCE DIRECTOR – MIDDLE EAST, AFRICA AND INDIA ON PARTNERSHIP

On 7th March 2022, KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki met with Mr. Faizal Bhana, Jersey Finance Director – Middle East, Africa and India. This was a follow-up meeting to an earlier meeting held in early 2020 to discuss areas of collaboration between the two organizations, a review of which formed part of the meeting agenda.
In this regard, Jersey Finance will host a business forum themed; Roadshow in the country, in June this year, incorporating various partners in Kenya. This will be followed by a joint forum also in June 2022, hosted by KEPSA in partnership with Jersey Finance, for women in business. This will be held ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that is scheduled to take place during the week of 20th June 2022 in Kigali Rwanda.
The KEPSA forum will discuss topics such as access to finance, the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the Impact following the EXPO 2020 Dubai among other key areas. The forum will also focus on sustainable finance and the green economy with a view to supporting businesses to deliver financial returns in the short and long term while generating positive value for society.
Jersey Finance, a not-for-profit organization, was formed in 2001 to represent and promote Jersey as an international finance centre (IFC) of excellence and is funded by local financial services firms and the Government of Jersey. The organization has offices in Jersey, Dubai, New York and Hong Kong, representation in London, as well as virtual offices in Shanghai and Mumbai.
