THE THIRD EDITION OF THE FOOD PROCESSING AND PACKAGING EXPOSYUM

KEPSA participated in the third annual edition of the Food Processing and Packaging Exposyum that took place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) from 3rd – 5th of November  2015. Enterprises from more than 10 nations came to showcase their solutions and products designed to meet the needs of local food producers.

The exhibition was also accompanied by a three-day conference under the theme ‘SAVE FOOD’. The agenda for the first day of the conference revolved around government and trade association topics while discussions for the second day were devoted to the topic of food losses. The last day of the symposium concentrated on technology and knowledge transfer in the Sub-Saharan countries that are trying to fight food losses often caused by the lack of suitable means to process, store and transport harvested produce.

The exposyum took a targeted local approach to solving such problems which is an important step towards achieving food security and Economic Development.
