DSEAP is a KEPSA project in collaboration with Microsoft that aims to provide digital skills, training and certification programs in the fields of Cloud, Generative AI, Cyber Security and Sustainability for young people in Kenya. The digital skills will equip them with the skills and knowledge they need and link them with online or offline work opportunities in the digital economy. The participants will also receive certificates upon completion of the program, which will enhance their credibility and employability. The project will use online and offline platforms and events and provide content, resources, data, mentorship, coaching, employment and business support to the learners.

Generative AI

Generative AI is a cutting-edge technology that can create new content like images, videos, and music without human intervention. By understanding generative AI, one can develop new digital experiences, create art, and improve business processes. Embracing this technology offers opportunities for young people to harness its power for positive impact and advancements in various fields.

Cloud

The cloud is a technology that allows people to store, access, and manage data and applications over the internet, rather than on a physical hard drive or local server. By utilizing the cloud, young people can easily collaborate, share information, and access resources from anywhere with an internet connection.

Cyber security

Cyber security is becoming increasingly important in our digital especially with the rise of technology and the use of the internet in our daily lives. It is crucial to understand how to protect ourselves and our personal information from online threats through measures to safeguard our devices, networks, and data from hackers and cyber-attacks. By learning about cyber security, young people can better protect themselves online.

Sustainability

Sustainability is a critical concept to understand and embrace to ensure a better future for us and the planet. Sustainability involves meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Issues such as climate change, deforestation, and water scarcity are becoming increasingly urgent, highlighting the importance of sustainable practices.
