TRANSFORMATIVE PARTNERSHIPS FOR SUSTAINABILITY: ACTIONS FOR GREEN GROWTH AND LIFE

KEPSA led by the Chair, Mr Jaswinder Bedi participated in the 3rd Partnering for Green Growth and Global Goals (P4G) Summit 2023 designed as Implementation Summit on 22nd September 2023, that took place in Bogota, Colombia. Also present were; Amb. Lemarron Kaanto, Kenya Ambassador to Brazil; The Kenya National P4G National Platform focal points: Ms Faith Ngige of KEPSA, Mr Peter Odhengo of National Treasury and Economic Planning, and Mr Augustine Kenduiwo of the Ministry of Environment Climate Change and Forestry.
The summit was designed to:
• Enhance policy and finance mechanisms to scale early-stage businesses;
• Showcase emerging investment-ready P4G partnerships and businesses in low- and middle-income countries that have the potential to be replicated and scaled; and
• Strengthen collaboration across industries and public and private sectors to help countries deliver on their climate and development goals.
The Summit’s main themes covered emerging areas in climate change and green growth such as partnerships for a just transition, innovative climate finance, renewable energy and green hydrogen, land restoration and nature-based solutions and food supply and access toward zero hunger among others.
The Summit was hosted by the government of Colombia in partnership with the City of Bogota, the National Planning Department, the National Business Association of Colombia (ANDI), iNNpulsa and ProColombia.
