The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) plays a crucial role in the preparation of the 2024 Voluntary Local Review (VLR) Report on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a collaborative effort organized by the Council of Governors (CoG) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). As a key representative of the private sector, KEPSA brings valuable insights and expertise to the table, ensuring that the perspectives and contributions of businesses are integrated into the review process. Through its participation, KEPSA helps to foster partnerships between the public and private sectors, advancing sustainable development goals and driving positive change at the local level.
The three-day workshop, which commenced on 11th March 2024 in Naivasha, serves as a platform for stakeholders to come together, share knowledge, and strategize on the preparation of the VLR report. During the workshop, participants engage in discussions, presentations, and collaborative exercises aimed at assessing progress, identifying challenges, and exploring innovative solutions to accelerate the achievement of SDGs at the local level. KEPSA's involvement underscores the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration in addressing complex sustainable development issues and underscores the commitment of the private sector to contribute to national development agendas.
Representing KEPSA at the workshop is Dr. Jackson Koimbori, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise in sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and circular economy principles to the table. His presence highlights KEPSA's dedication to advancing sustainable development goals and underscores the organization's commitment to playing an active role in shaping the future of Kenya's development agenda. Through collaborative efforts such as this workshop, KEPSA continues to demonstrate its leadership in promoting sustainable development and driving positive change in Kenya and beyond.
