SUSTAINABLE INCLUSIVE BUSINESS HOLDS TALKS WITH AFDB ON SWIFT TRANSITION TO CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The Sustainable Inclusive Business, the knowledge centre under KEPSA, led by the Program Manager Mr Ebenezer Amadi, held a meeting on 23rd January 2023 with a delegation from the African Development Bank (AfDB), Government of Finland, Nordic Development Fund, Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and the African Circular Economy Alliance.
The deliberations focused on the areas of synergy with AfDB through the African Circular Economy Facility (ACEF). ACEF is a climate change initiative that seeks to create conducive regulatory environments for the economy-wide adoption of circularity; enhance capacity for private and public sectors in the field of the circular economy; and create a pool of circular economy trailblazers that demonstrate new circular business models, encourage innovative partnerships and knowledge-sharing.
AfDB is keen on supporting countries in a swift transition to a circular economy while Sustainable Inclusive Business is focused on enabling the realization of the transition through waste management issues, recycling opportunities, incubating business solutions, designing alternatives and communicating to raise awareness, change behaviour and educate positively.
