PRE-LAUNCH DISSEMINATION OF THE WORLD BANK KENYA COUNTRY CLIMATE AND DEVELOPMENT REPORT (CCDR)

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Kenya in collaboration with The World Bank Treasury (IBRD-IDA), on 21st September 2023, led a team of Corporate leaders (CEOs / CXOs) and decision-makers in various sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, green transportation, health, education, labour (skills development), Urban Planning, affordable housing, green energy and environment management in the prelaunch dissemination of World Bank’s Kenya Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR) at the World Bank offices.
The CCDR captures the interplay between each country's development goals and climate change, in the context of the Paris Agreement and the WBG's commitment to align its portfolio to its objective.
It was noted that the government and the private sector need to work together to ensure that every sector plays its role in protecting the environment and ensuring that the set climate goals are in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.
