KEPSA PARTICIPATES IN THE KENYA MINING WEEK 2023

KEPSA member, the Association for Women in Energy and Extractives in Kenya (AWEIK), in partnership with the Kenya Chamber of Mines is hosting the inaugural Kenya Mining Week: Expo and Conference 2023, themed “Promoting an inclusive approach in Kenya’s mining sector to drive economic growth” being held at a Nairobi Hotel, Kenya.
The Kenya Mining Week Conference and Expo has received tremendous support through the chairman of the KEPSA Board, Eng. James Mwangi and chairperson, Mining and Blue Economy, Dr. Melba Wasunna.Among other key KEPSA members present at the opening of the Kenya Mining Week Conference and Expo include: Eng. Patrick Obath, KEPSA Foundation chairman, who moderated the panel session on Development minerals: Reimagining the links between construction (quarrying) minerals and Kenya’s national development objectives, Noreen Kidunduhu, AWEIK Chair, who gave opening remarks at the Kenya Mining Investment Forum, Hannah Wang’ombe, AWEIK CEO- present at the high-level roundtable dialogue.
The Kenya Mining Week comprises of: Kenya Mining Investment Forum, Gold Convention and the Gemstone summit.
