KEPSA CEO MS Carole Kariuki held a meeting with Mr Barak Granot, Minister- Counselor Economic Affairs, Head of Israeli Economic Mission to Nairobi, on 8th August, 2023. The Minister was accompanied by Trade Managers Israeli Economic & Trade Mission to Nairobi in Kenya, Mr Polycarp Otieno, Ms. Joannah Wanjiku, and Ms. Tanya Ogwel. This was an introductory meeting to discuss matters of mutual interest as well as create a cooperation framework and a working relationship between Israel and Kenya.
The Israeli Economic Mission to Nairobi, Kenya is an operational diplomatic arm of Israeli working at the Embassy; allocating business opportunities for Israeli and Kenyan companies, organizing trade delegations from Kenya to Israel, promoting Israeli exports as well as enhancing overall bilateral cooperation by promoting B2B and B2G meetings between both countries.
The meeting deliberated on jointly collaborating in the planning and execution of anticipated high-level visits to Kenya by Israeli delegations in the forthcoming months. With KEPSA’s role in driving competitiveness for the private sector and the domestic market towards a global direction, we will play a significant role during these visits to strengthen and enhance the collaboration between both organizations.
Later in the month of August a Security Expo is expected to take place where the conference will cover all security-related facets such as cyber tech, data protection, distribution of Israeli security tools and digitized security reforms and upgrades. The conference will take the form of B2B engagements, and prior matchmaking sessions between key sector players.
