On 20th September 2022, KEPSA Foundation Trustees together with other KEPSA leaders hosted a reception for Dr Manu Chandaria and his wife Mrs Aruna Chandaria to appreciate their humanitarian services while celebrating Dr Manu for being the first African to receive the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy. The Carnegie Award is for his work in advancing opportunities and addressing critical needs in Africa through investments in healthcare, infrastructure, education, poverty relief and environmental conservation.
The event, which was held at Muthaiga Country Club, celebrated Dr Manu as the Founding Chairman of KEPSA and for his tremendous achievements in the industry over the years. Dr Manu's dedicated service in humanitarian work has uplifted the lives of very many vulnerable people in Kenya, Africa and across the world.
Speakers at the event praised the KEPSA Founding Chair, noting that the global award by Carnegie was a clear indicator of the great work he has done. Dr Manu together with his wife Mrs Aruna were also lauded for their selflessness and for being mentors to many leaders.
The leaders also appreciated Ms Ann Katule for her dedicated service to the KEPSA Foundation while at the same time bidding farewell to her as she transitions to the next assignment.
