KEPSA has partnered with Yingke Consultancy to foster enhanced trade and investment between Kenya and China by establishing stronger business-to-business (B2B) connections. The collaboration was initiated during a meeting on 9th April 2025 between KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki and representatives from Yingke Consultancy, including Mr. Troy Yue (a former KEPSA Director), Mr. Bruce Yu, Ms. Debbie Wang and Ms. Linda Njonjo. The primary objective of the meeting was to strategize on how to leverage private sector engagement to significantly boost economic ties between the two nations.
Yingke Consultancy presented an overview of its global footprint, highlighting its representation of approximately 2 to 2.5 million companies across sectors such as agriculture, tourism, and security. With its deep networks in China and presence in multiple countries, Yingke positions itself as a powerful conduit for cross-border partnerships.
A key aspect of the envisioned partnership is the organization of direct B2B linkages between Chinese enterprises and KEPSA's membership. This initiative aims to provide KEPSA members with invaluable firsthand exposure to China's diverse manufacturing processes, technological innovations, and potential avenues for collaboration, with a particular focus on strengthening the agriculture value chain.
Ms. Kariuki welcomed the collaboration and reaffirmed KEPSA’s dedication to fostering partnerships that drive inclusive economic growth. She introduced KEPSA Consult, the commercial and consulting arm of KEPSA, as a potential vehicle for structuring the collaboration with Yingke. It was agreed that joint services—including legal, investment and market entry support for KEPSA members exploring the Chinese market—could be delivered through KEPSA Consult, under a revenue-sharing model to ensure mutual value creation and sustainability.
Yingke Consultancy announced an upcoming Agriculture Sector Conference scheduled for in June in China. The conference will bring together key stakeholders from both Chinese and international agricultural sectors, offering a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and exploring potential investment opportunities. KEPSA expressed its intent to partner with Yingke in mobilizing the participation of its members from the agriculture sector. The partnership aims to leverage the forum to explore business linkages, technology transfer, and export opportunities that may arise from the event.
To strengthen long-term collaboration, Yingke Consultancy confirmed their intention to become members of KEPSA. This will allow them to engage more actively with the alliance's initiatives and interact directly with KEPSA’s diverse membership base.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both KEPSA and Yingke Consultancy committing to immediate next steps including the development of a joint work plan, potential participation in the June agriculture conference, and the formulation of structured partnership models through KEPSA Consult. The partnership is expected to unlock new trade and investment opportunities and support the growth of businesses across both countries.
