On April 26th, 2023, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Kenya held a leader's breakfast meeting at the KEPSA Offices. The meeting brought together the ICC Kenya board, commission leaders, and the secretariat to share, learn, review the progress of commissions, discuss the work plan, and identify areas of support. During the meeting, the board expressed gratitude to the leaders and secretariat for their efforts, support, and dedication towards growing ICC Kenya.
The commissions have distinct roles, but their activities are interrelated, and they can work together to influence policy, share ideas, and create change, not only locally but also in the region. In this regard, the board's chair encouraged the leaders to organize events such as conferences, webinars, and training sessions that would bring the commissions together to support and grow the overall mission and vision of ICC Kenya.
The meeting noted that ICC Kenya had made significant progress this year, having launched two commissions at the beginning of the year and held a conference organized by the Environment and Energy Commission in the first quarter. ICC Kenya has several events planned for the second, third, and fourth quarters of the year, including conferences and webinars by various commissions; the energy commission, customs and trade commission and the Banking Commission.
