ICC KENYA BIDS FAREWELL TO FORMER ADR AND ARBITRATION COMMISSION CHAIR HON. JUSTICE ALEEM

ICC Kenya board of directors, management and respective commission leaders, led by the Chair, Mr Patrick Obath, on 13th February 2023 bid farewell to Hon. Justice Aleem Visram, FCIArb. Justice Aleem has since transitioned from serving as the Chair of the Arbitration and ADR Commission (2021/2022) to the Judiciary of Kenya as a judge of the High Court.
The ICC Kenya ADR and Arbitration Commission was established in 2020. Until December 2022, the Commission was led by Hon. Justice Visram. During his chairmanship, the commission made several strides including the following;
- Built a strong commission that brought together professionals in ADR who dedicated time and resources towards the success of the commission and ICC Kenya
- Established strategic partnerships with active players/stakeholders in the ADR ecosystem including Law firms, CIARB Kenya Branch and NCIA with whom we have been pleased to work with
- Establishing a working relationship with the office of the Director of ADR and Arbitration in Africa headed by Ms Diamana Diawara.

Mr Nikhil Desai takes over as the Chair of the ICC Kenya ADR and Arbitration Commission.
