KEPSA CEO, Ms. Carole Karuga participated in a webinar titled ‘Doing Business in Kenya’ which was hosted by the Netherlands-African Business Council (NABC) on 12th May 2020. NABC is a trade and investment promotion agency based in the Netherlands working with Dutch and African businesses that want to invest or trade between Africa and the Netherlands.
The webinar was a series of sessions that NABC is hosting in Africa with a focus on 15 countries in line with the Dutch Africa Strategy whereby they have already held four sessions on the following countries: South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, and Cote d’Ivoire.
Discussions were centered on how to build stronger trade ties between the Netherlands and Kenya in a post-COVID-19 era where Ms. Karuga and other panelists shared insights concerning the current business climate in Kenya and the present reality of doing business in COVID-19 period and how it is expected to change after the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The other panelists were Mr. Pius Muchiri, Managing Director, NABO Capital (Part of Centum), Mr. David Ongolo, Managing Director, Matrix Development Consultants (Board Member of the Netherlands Business Hub in Kenya), H.E. Lawrence Lenayapa Ambassador of Kenya to the Netherlands, H.E. Frans Makken Dutch Ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Richard Fernandes Chairman of the Kenya Flower Council and the session was moderated by Ms. Lyla Latif a public finance and financial services lawyer based in Kenya.
