KEPSA participated, in the review of the implementation for the Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) Task Force Meeting held on 1st November 2018 at the Ministry of Public Service Youth and Gender Office at Harambee House, Nairobi.
The meeting aimed to make reviews to the draft report, which will be submitted to the office of the Deputy President William Ruto upon completion.
The Task-Force discussed and highlighted in detail the gaps and challenges facing the implementation of AGPO. KEPSA was tasked with giving input in regard to the financing experiences from the member perspectives on financing challenges from the supplier and financing institutions.
KEPSA was also requested to submit a report on experiences (challenges, opportunities and solutions) faced by Microfinance and Banking institutions in regard to financing Youth, Women and People With Disabilities during pre and post-delivery financing and experiences of those who have received or approached financing institutions.
In attendance was the Ministry of Public Services and Gender Affairs led by the secretariat, The Kenya Women Parliamentary Association (KEWAPO), Women in Business and The Department of Youth Affairs.
