KEPSA has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Barbados Private Sector Association (BPSA) and Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) that aims at facilitating cooperation, promoting economic development and enhancing trade linkages between Kenya and Barbados.

This happened last Wednesday during the Kenya-Barbados Business Forum at the Hilton Barbados Resort in presence of KEPSA Vice-Chair Mr. Jas Bedi. The forum took place on the sidelines of high-level visits by the President of Kenya H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta and was a follow-up of the state visit to Kenya by the Prime Minister of Barbados H.E Mia Mottley in 2019 where KEPSA together with the Kenyan government hosted a similar forum.

The target sectors for engagement by the Kenyan business delegation included:

  • Banking
  • Telecommunications
  • Oil and gas Tourism
  • Air transport
  • Maritime and shipping

The BCCI and BPSA committed to support KEPSA’s interest and facilitate the agreed tasks that included public relations, information-sharing and organization of trade meetings and events. The MOU will facilitate cooperation between, KEPSA, BCCI and BPSA in promoting the economic development of Kenya and Barbados and enhancing trade linkages between the two countries.
