KEPSA in partnership with the Embassy of Ireland in Kenya, through a program on mitigating against the effects of COVID-19 and catalysing the growth of women-led SMEs, continued with the distribution of facemasks in the week ending 4th December 2020. The program reached more than 30 businesses in its facemasks distribution campaign.
During the distribution, each business received 100 facemasks to help them in the preventive measures against the Covid-19 virus, as the country continues to battle the effects of the pandemic.
Small and medium enterprises in Kenya have been adversely affected, with many of them forced to shut down their businesses or cut down on costs through laying off their staff. Through this program, KEPSA together with the Embassy of Ireland in Kenya aims at distributing at least 10,000 facemasks to women-led SMEs in Kenya.
The initiative will benefit businesses that operate within Nairobi city and must be led or owned by women or youth and be KEPSA members or members of an Association which is a member of KEPSA.
