On 4th October 2021, KEPSA CEO Ms. Carole Kariuki met with business officials from Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) led by Mr. Dan Demilew at KEPSA offices. The meeting discussed, among other issues, the energy sector with a particular focus on green energy as well as investment opportunities of the sector locally. The visiting team was introduced by Mr. Nik Nesbitt – KEPSA immediate Past Chair.
The firm is exploring investments in mega green energy projects with a key component on local content, membership to KEPSA and making Kenya its hub to Africa. The Australian-based company also seeks to invest in the Naivasha Special Economic Zone.
