Sector Committees are the entry point of contact between KEPSA and the Government on Policy advocacy work. Currently, there are 17 sector committees which mirror the government ministries . Sector Committees are in charge of driving sectoral advocacy agenda of KEPSA as documented in the National Business Agenda, KEPSA’s advocacy tool . The NBA focuses on strategic and cross cutting issues affecting businesses in the country. KEPSA members channel issues of concern to their businesses through the sector committees, which harmonize the issues and prepare position on the specific issue related to their sector, which then becomes the KEPSA position. Sector Committee members are authority on their sector .The sectors are chaired by a key leader with expertise within the sector nominated by members of the committees , who then co-chairs fora with the counterpart on the side of the Government. Members are allowed to join more than one sector for as long as they remain in active participation.
