Anthony Weru is currently a Senior Public Private Dialogue (PPD) Officer (Trade, Investment and Public Finance) at KEPSA. He’s an achievement driven professional with proven success in policy advocacy, analysis and implementation with a deep footprint of networks and knowledge of Government operations as well as policy implementers in Government and private sector traders within EAC. He has been deeply engaged in years of Public- Private Dialogue (PPD) with bias in Trade, Public Finance and Regional Integration. Anthony is trained in Political Science & Communications from University of Nairobi and is pursuing his Masters in Public Policy and Administration in Kenyatta University. At KEPSA he is in charge of coordination of policy advocacy for private sector on Trade and EA Affairs, Transport & Infrastructure and Public Finance and formers Focal Officer for EAC Regional advocacy work. He is also pioneer member of Regional Dialogue Committee for East Africa that developed the Consultative Dialogue Framework (CDF) for the EAC. His areas of success include being the Coordinator Northern Corridor Integration Projects Summits at KEPSA; Private Sector Focal Person to the Kenya Revenue Authority and National Treasury at KEPSA on Stakeholders Dialogue; involved in the development of both the Regional Integration Policy and the National 24Hour Economy Strategy. Additionally, he was a member of the National NTB Monitoring Committee, the National EAC Dialogue Committee. He has been a member of the team that developed the Foreign Trade Policy, the National Trade Policy and National Task Force to review the National Honours and Awards System among other technical Committees.
