KEPSA in conjunction with the Embassy of Belgium on 30th November 2017 hosted a Belgian Business Mission Forum at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi. The aim of the forum was to facilitate Business Talks between over 40 attending Belgian Delegates and interested Kenyan Businesses whom are primarily involved in industrial sectors such as Energy, Construction, Healthcare, Oil & Gas, Logistics, ICT, Agriculture and Education.

The event was officially opened by H.E. Nicholas Nikon the Ambassador of Belgium, Dr. Chris Kiptoo the Permanent Secretary for the State Department of Trade, Mr. Kiprono Kittony the Chairman of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Dr. Moses Ikiara the Managing Director of the Kenya Investment Authority and Mr. Joshua Mugodo senior official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It was said the infrastructure sector has recorded good progress in the development, expansion and improvement of Airports, Sea Ports, Railways, Pipelines, Hydropower production and Geothermal plant production. In this aspect, there is enormous potential growth in terms of trade between Kenya and Belgium.

This business forum created a great opportunity for Kenyan businesses to interact and forge close ties with their counterparts from Belgium.
